How your information is handled.

What happens when you contact the home, and what the website stores in your browser.

This notice covers the Higher Park Lodge website. Higher Park Lodge Limited runs the home in Devonport Park, Plymouth and is responsible for information you share when you contact us.

What we collect, and why

When you contact us by phone or through the enquiry form, we use the details you give us to reply to your enquiry and, if you would like, to arrange a visit.

If you call us, we may make a note of the conversation so the right person can follow up without asking you to repeat yourself.

How long we keep it

Please ask us if you would like to know how long a note of your enquiry will be kept. Care records for someone who comes to stay are handled under the home’s care records policy.

Who else sees it

If you call, people at the home may need to share relevant information with colleagues to help with your enquiry. Ask us if you would like to know who will see it.

Cookies

This site does not set its own advertising or analytics cookies. It stores a small item in your browser to remember that you dismissed the cookie notice, and another on the home page to remember that you saw the opening animation.

The Home & Park and Contact pages include Google Maps. Loading a map connects your browser to Google, which may set its own cookies. You can use the written address instead of the map.

Your rights

You can ask what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it or ask us to delete it. Some requests have legal limits; call us to discuss them. If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
