Life at Higher Park Lodge

Everyday life, with care close by.

There is time for shared meals, visitors, fresh air and quieter moments, alongside the support each person needs. What matters most is that the day still feels like theirs.

Every day

Time for the things they enjoy.

There are places to sit with others, welcome family or enjoy a quieter moment. We want to know what someone looks forward to, so those interests have a place in life here.

The gardens and patio make it easy to step outside, with Devonport Park around the home.

“She had day trips out, a hairdresser, and the food was wonderful with a great selection including a dessert!”

Mealtimes

Good food and time together.

Sitting down to eat can be one of the most enjoyable parts of the day: good food, company and time to talk.

We also take food seriously for people with dietary needs. One family described how the chef discussed the menu with their relative and offered alternatives.

Day care

Care and company during the day.

Day care offers a change of scene, support and the chance to spend time with others, while someone continues to live at home. It can also give a family carer time for work, rest or an appointment.

Tell us about the person

We can talk about the support they need, what they enjoy and which days may work best.

Visit together

Come together to see the spaces, meet the people on duty and ask how day care works.

Start with a day

Ask whether one day is available to start with. We can discuss what would work after that.

We can discuss the days available and whether day care would suit the person and family.

When you first come to look around, please call ahead so we can make time for you. We can also talk about visiting once someone moves in.

Visits from pets can be arranged. Ask us and we will explain what is possible.
Agree with us who should hear about important changes. You are also welcome to call and ask how the week has been.
